Mini Maker Faire Lanyards

In just over a week on July 14th we will be taking part in the very first Dublin Mini Maker Faire.

On the day we will be there demoing the laser and producing fun things for members of the public to make. Before hand we have made some lanyard badges for the participants and organizers.


We made a short video today demonstrating the process involved in making the lanyards.

 

Claddagh Rings

Following on from the success of our valentines rings in February, our pals at Designist suggested we come up with a design for Claddagh Rings. 

They are made out of lasercut alderwood with a green foil heart on one side and red on the other. 

Dublin Landmarks: Large

You have seen the Dublin Landmarks before, sure. But now we also make them in larger A4 and A3 sizes.
The first two images don't really show scale, so you can see a framed example down at the bottom.

Science Gallery Gift Box

The Science Gallery at Trinity College, Dublin asked us to laser up a nice gift box they were presenting to a prestigious visitor. So that is exactly what we did, and it came out very nice.

New Door: St. Gerard's School

Here is a door; laser cut, assembled, and framed.
This was made as a going away gift to the school from Fiona's Mom.

Personally, my favorite part is the doornob.

More Bird Houses

The Irish Design Shop is stocking our little birdhouses.

Mini Bird Houses

While you would be hard pressed to find a bird that would fit in these dinky bird houses, they make for pretty adorable indoor and outdoor decorations. They come with a removable dowel so they can be stuck among some flowers or just lay around looking pretty. They are made out of paper, so be sure to keep them dry.

Jewelry Display Collection

We are very proud of a project we completed this week, designing and making a range of display objects for jewelry.
These were all made for Fado and Iconic Ireland who make jewelry here in Ireland and sell it locally and around the world. I hear they even have some stuff in a store back in good old Naperville Illinois.

Nice stand for displaying necklaces and the like, with a fancy acrylic base. The green lettering is done in vinyl.


This display board comes apart in two pieces. The back piece slots right into the base, good and simple. The logo on all the Fado pieces is scored on with the laser.

I have made 10 exclusive hand made gift boxes for the lights. They fit any 4 medium or small lights and come with spare batteries and tied with great ribbon.

They will be available his week only exclusively in the Design Corner, Dun Laoghaire!!
